NEW ENGLAND
It took us a long time, but we finally made our way up to the northeast. Our drive took us through Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire and finally to Maine. Maine was the final state to get John all 50, but for the four of us Maine counted as 43!
We had some great campsites along the way. We had one great spot in the middle of a farm and in Maine we camped on a lake. And kitten has taken to sharing my seat with me when we drive.
From Maine we went back through New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. There we camped at a friend’s house and checked out a small town festival. And Pepe got to swim in our friend’s pond.
From New York we kept going west through Pennsylvania into Ohio and up into Michigan where we made camp at John’s parents’ house for a couple weeks. We rolled out the awning and I set up my paints.
