I don't have a list of resolutions for the new year, but I am looking forward to 2017. Twelfth Night will kick off Mardi Gras season, then comes Muses, deployment will end, long road trips to take, and there are art shows to look forward to.
And after 25 years, this is the first January that I'm not working in the snowboard industry. It's too soon to know what the future will bring but for now it's painting full time plus any design projects I may decide to work on. Gulp!
So with 2016 behind me I walk into the new year with no regrets, no resolutions, but with an optimism that 2017 marks new opportunity — a blank canvas.
